The world stopped and took notice of the Blood Moon which graced our skies last night. The once in a century phenomenon included multiple planets in retrograde and alignments that happen very rarely.
I am not a very learned student on astrology or astronomy, but in my practice of self-development I am keenly aware of the power that the planets and the moon can have on us. It’s something I’m working on and have started giving more attention to. And as I’ve been making note of these things, I noticed yesterday when I got up I felt very odd, almost as if floating or in another world, but my surroundings still looked the same. The feeling of being in a sensory deprivation chamber came to mind at one point.
Perhaps the best way I can describe how I felt was maybe how an animal feels when they sense a storm coming or an earthquake. All of your senses are on alert or strangely lifted from the confines of your body.
At 4:20 pm (no joke), the moon would be at it’s peak in its fullness. Being on the East Coast of the United States I couldn’t see it, but took the time to go into a meditation and harness some of the energy. I did this for 40 minutes.
I got out of my meditation feeling more awake than I did all day. The bizarre fog that I had been in throughout the day had finally lifted. I felt like a completely different person and my senses had returned.
That night as I turned the light out to sleep, I felt the most soothing calm and slept better than I have in many weeks. It was as if I was reborn. I was the most content infant snuggled in his crib, having the best sleep of his short life.
