Whenever I talk to someone about following their intuition or talk about how I’ve used mine to solve or avoid a problem, I always get this nagging little feeling that they want to pat me on the head and tell me, ‘Sure, keep telling yourself that.’
There’s something about intuition that people have a little bit of a problem accepting. They don’t want to believe that there is a force within them that intuitively knows and understands things they they may not be able to intellectualize or explain.
We all understand having a ‘gut feeling‘ or those times when we say, ‘I knew that was going to happen.’ We trust and believe those times, but it’s the same thing, but rarely want to call it intuition.
Intuition is a little like faith. We can’t prove the results of either one, but the people who trust both know when it is working for them.
We are currently living in a time when the thoughts and opinions of others are being forced upon us. We are made to question our own individual experience and some of us sacrifice our own instincts just to appease others or to avoid rocking the boat. Groupthink and bandwagon mentality stifles your true voice and intuition stops being a consideration.
It’s time to reclaim our intuition. To trust the feelings within us, banish the negative voices in our heads and embrace our connection to a higher source of power. We can survive the New Babylon, but first we must exit the matrix.
