The Truth About Weakness

Seneca, the Roman Stoic philosopher, said that all savageness or cruelty is a sign of weakness. I love this concept and it has inspired me to reflect on its truth. Our weaknesses are not confirmed when we are physically dominated by someone else. True, debilitating weakness reveals itself in those who lack empathy and intelligence.  People who express empathy and intelligence threaten the feeble-minded. Intelligence inspires bullying and acts of cruelty in order for the actual weak to appear stronger than their minds would otherwise have you believe. These people oppress in order to get their way. If they are … Continue reading The Truth About Weakness

THE TRUTH ABOUT CHANGE

I love change and have always been the one to feel excitement for anyone moving away or leaving a job, thrilled for the potential that adventurous people create in their lives. Thus, it’s no surprise that I feel some frustration when I see stagnation, lack of movement and fear of change–especially when there is complaining associated with it. One of the greatest illusions concerning change is that it is too often associated with imbalance. We sometimes think that change will throw our whole life out of whack, but the opposite is closer to the truth. Positive change (and we know … Continue reading THE TRUTH ABOUT CHANGE

The Truth About Virtue

Virtue is undefiled purity. It is a gift of love. It is a gift imparted to those who feel acts of kindness and empathy. Virtue resides in the heart of man, not his brain. You see, virtue is not a determination of what you consider to be ‘good’, virtue is just doing it without thinking of its rewards or how it might benefit others. The truth about virtue is most easily accessed by looking at what it is not. Virtue is not about seeking! It is not about trying to find the most obscure and disenfranchised person to hold up … Continue reading The Truth About Virtue

The Truth About Loss

Have you ever noticed how when some people suffer a loss, large or small, they often think that there was no ‘reason’ for it, as if actual reasoning had been spent on wondering why things play out in their lives in the way that they do? The thing is, nature doesn’t need to give you a reason, it just is. Dealing with the pain of loss requires an elevated consciousness. It requires a more balanced mind, body and spirit to accept that losses have usually restored balance, karmic or otherwise. Even our own actions often result in losses that we … Continue reading The Truth About Loss

The Truth About The Devil

THE DEVIL & HAPPINESS. I went to sleep last night with the intention of finding answers to share with you about the secrets of Happiness and the response I got this morning was a message about…The Devil. Such are the mysteries of understanding and gaining knowledge. There is an ignorance which many of us suffer and that is the blindness to the powers we each have within and a belief that happiness is something you can only be obtained through material gains or power over others. It is the belief that we are bound to worthless garbage as a necessity … Continue reading The Truth About The Devil

The Truth About Chaos

Chaos and calamity can come in many forms and it’s something I keep encountering with different clients, which, to me, reveals something that is more pervasive than we might imagine. This goes beyond our views on politics, social issues or how the media makes us feel and react to their spin on reality–the emotional responses we express from external things serves only as a distraction from healing and understanding our internal chaos It’s obvious that people have taken on issues and causes in warrior like fashion because they ARE angry, only much of what ails us resides deep inside and … Continue reading The Truth About Chaos
